Daily Prompt: Ugly

Today’s WP Daily Prompt is Ugly.

I think the picture pretty much speaks for itself.  :-(

I was telling a new friend recently that I used to be a vegetarian but even now that I am not one 100% vegetarian, I am not a big fan of eating pork.
First pigs are so smart, just as smart as dogs and sometimes even smarter. So, I always feel like I am going to eat my dog.  I know it’s crazy to think that way but then I never said I wasn’t a little crazy at times. 
Second, I just don’t like how pork usually taste, although I will admit that I do like carnitas and apple wood bacon.
Hard not to since I grew up on that stuff.

Day 168/365: Snowy Egret

I didn’t know that the Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) is a small white heron. I love when I learn new stuff. 
I took the above shot through the chain-linked fence and I think it came out nice.
It gives it a dreamy feel to it… At least that is how I feel about it.

Below is one that I took when I moved over.   He’s totally checking me out.  lol

Day 167/365: Out Of Focus

This little, hmmm I am not sure what they are called, but these little bulbs-like-plants caught my eye.

Even though they are not in focus, I still like how they came out and wanted to share them with you all.

Next time I will do better.  I am still learning the settings on my camera.

Day 166/365: Succulent

Some reasons to love succulents:

1. They are low maintenance (just like I am).
2. They come in all kinds of colors.
3. They are beautiful year round.
4. You can us a cut part of the plant to make more succulents.

 

 

 

Day 165/365: Caaterpillaaar

“Mommy”
MOMMYYYYY!!!!
Look caaterpillaaar!!!!”

I look up at him quite perplexed for we are in my bed.
“Caterpillar, where baby?”

“Mommy there… it’s right there.” He points all excited.

Before I go any further, let me tell you my son knows what a caterpillar looks like because we had seen several at the park before but when he said these two screws were a pair of caterpillars… well it just made me laugh…

He always manages to make me smile, shake my head, and laugh.

Day 164/365: Little Purple Flower

I am a little purple flower my petals so delicate and small.

Today, I had a reason to smile for a girl looked at this little purplish flower and took a picture of me

Even if tomorrow I have to die, I will do so happily since someone has seen the beauty in me.

Day 163/365: I can BBQ!

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I had to learn how to use the grill.

Wait let me explain better. I can use the grill to cook simple stuff such as hamburgers and hotdogs but for some reason I never really had the desire to “learn” how to grill other stuff.  That seemed (ok don’t shoot me for saying this) like a man’s job.

Anyway, yesterday I had no choice and under his guidance, I cooked this tri-tip and despite being more well-done that I had intended it was still succulent and just plain yummy.  I was pleased.
